France: a pipeline that reaches the decision-maker

While a Czech machine tool manufacturer sells 7 to 8 machines a year in Germany, in France it was only one or two. The product wasn't the issue.

French companies mapped and verified in the company register

Every company carries its SIREN number and a source link. Where a buyer’s name wasn’t public we recorded the role instead - nothing here is guessed.

The challenge

While a Czech machine tool manufacturer sells 7 to 8 machines a year in Germany, in France it was only one or two. The product wasn't the issue.

The brief was to find out: profile the competition, build a target list of French buyers, and map the distributors who already own the channel.

What we did

We built a market map, not a list. Four segments - energy, rail, defence, heavy engineering - each worked end to end, and every company verified in the French company register with its SIREN number and a source link attached.

We flagged eight target companies that use these types of machines.

Where a decision-maker’s name was public we recorded it — 20 of them. Where it wasn’t, we recorded the role and marked it for enrichment rather than filling the gap with a guess.

The result

The client got contacts that lead to a decision-maker, not to a web form, and a sales team that spends its time selling rather than researching.

What was delivered

SegmentTargetsWhy it qualified
Energy, including nuclear10Reactor vessels, turbines and pumps - an active capital-expenditure cycle on large boring machines.
Rail10Bogie frames, wheels and axles, with a competitor portal already installed at two of them.
Naval & land defence10Submarine and artillery components above 200 tonnes, plus the security clearances each one needs.
Heavy engineering10Subcontract machine shops running competitor boring mills - the fastest route to a replacement sale.

Forty entries covering 38 companies — two of them qualify in two segments each, and are counted once.
